A friend is someone you can stay up late talking and getting
punchy with till everything you say is just about the funniest
thing you've ever heard. A friend is someone who'll help you take
out the cactus needles after you sat on a cactus plant.  A friend
is someone you can be with and not feel awkward if nobody's
saying anything. A friend is someone who somehow just *knows*
when you're thinking it'd be nice to hear from them, and they
call you. A friend is someone you can have a whole conversation
with in the look of an eye. A friend is someone who understands
you without you're having to re-explain it a dozen different ways.
A friend is someone who'll let you borrow their favorite sweater.
A friend is someone you can say all those things to that you can't say
to anyone else. A friend is someone who'll make you laugh when you
really need to and let you cry when you need to do that.
A friend is someone you can get silly with. A friend is someone you can
get serious with. A friend is someone who lets you be just you.
