There are books full of spinoff descriptions available from NASA. REAL spinoff's, not the myth about teflon or the general push toward miniature components. For example, the environment used to sustain people with immune system deficiencies is a direct application of space suit technologies & clean rooms. Most of the spinoff's are small, technical advances that together can build up industries. The big advance coming now is direct manufacture in space.
