I must be confused; I thought abortion was (depending on your beliefs) family planning or murder. It's certainly not suicide. As I remember - it was a long time ago - the only obvious way for a foetus to commit suicide is by hanging itself by the umbilical cord, and that doesn't work because the amniotic fluid makes the foetus weightless. So that leaves just garrotting with the umbilical cord, but foetuses can't grasp. Could someone clear up this mess? I'm fascinated by all this discussion, but can't put it in the right context somehow. Just how do babies kill themeselves?? BOB
