Mere seconds ago I just saw something rather amazing on Moonlighting:

	Maddy is being interrogated by a cop.  David bursts into the
room and says "My client does not have to answer any more of your
questions!" The cop says "You can't just burst in here!"  David
responds, "Tell that to the writers."
You don't hear meta-comments in TV shows much these days..
