i have been at ends lately, using input from the other engineers here at
dicomed.  we will soon be upgrading from a vax 750 to a 785.  we presently
run 4.2 on our 750, with another 750 elsewhere running ultrix 1.1.  i am try-
ing to make a decision as to what flavor of unix to run on the 785.  both of the
750's will be going away soon, and i will be combining the users of both 
machines onto the 785.

now, i would like some feedback from netters who have experienced both ultrix
and berkeley unix, and what opinions these netters formed about each.  i have
personally not used the ultrix system, but i understand that it is a lookalike
of berkeley.  i tend to lean towards the ultrix for the support that we would
from dec, but i have become sorta intimate with 4.2...

please email all responses, and i will summarize if it proves valid.
