I think that the best things about (net).sf-lovers are the reviews and subsequent discussion; both for new books - so that i can look out (or avoid!) them - and for golden oldies. I for one would like to see much more reviews and discussions of _books_ in this new newsgroup. Also i would welcome discussion on interesting themes within science fiction (the net has discussed immortality, time travel, faster than light travel, the biology of aging etc. etc. and i found them all worthwhile). Hopefully we can, through consensus now, avoid the fate of net.sf-lovers. As a step in the right direction a review of Brin's _The Postman_ follows. On a slightly different tack - this is the end of term for those of us at school and so i would expect that the net traffic would drop quite considerably around this time. Lack of immediate response to articles does not necessarily signify apathy, please give us more reviews! greg. -- gjerawlins%watdaisy@waterloo.csnet 1-519-884-3852 Gregory J. E.
