I don't really have anything to add myself to the discussion of
Heinlein's THE CAT WHO COULD WALK THROUGH walls, but I happened
to be at Bakka, the Toronto SF specialty store, and overheard
a debate on the books merits between Hugo-winner Mike Glicksohn
and the lovely manager of the store, Naiomi Kane.  Both seemed
to feel it was a disappointment, but, as Ford Prefect would say,
Glicksohn doubly so.
