The reason is simple - no one has submitted anything. Now that the group is up to 150 names, its time to start submitting items. As a reminder, just mail submissions to supercomputer@nyu (or cmcl2!supercomputer on USENET). The just-concluded SIAM meeting on Parallel Computing in Norfolk was a real success, with 650+ attendees, more than twice the number last time. Many thanks to Bob Voigt and the organizing committee. If anyone feels like summarizing highlights of the meeting that could be a useful submission to this bulletin board. Besides meeting announcements and requests for 'how do I do ... on machine ....' and the like, job announcements for supercomputing positions and timely announcements re new hardware or software come to mind as worthwhile topics.
