The technical pubs group is hoping to use this printer for page proofs, and to off-load work from their present phototypesetting system. Therein lies the rub: current production systems utilize Nerd . . ., er, WordStar. We're looking for a public domain filter to convert up-loaded WordStar text files to *troff-acceptable macros. I can write such a filter, but I hate the idea of reinventing the wheel (and/or the hub cap), so I thought I'd ask first. Think of it as a Christmas present to someone who has better things to do. Thanks in advance. :r all usual disclaimers Geoff Walton NCR E&M San Diego {wherever}!ucbvax!sdcsvax!ncr-sd!geoff Even the smallest problem becomes unsolvable if enough meetings are held to discuss it.
