I thought I'd introduce myself as well. I am a first-year law student at UCLA School of Law ("UCLAW") in Los Angeles. I graduated from Stanford University, majoring in Economics. While at Stanford, I designed/coordinated/taught a new course in the CS department called "Teaching of Computer Science" for consultants and teaching assistants. I was also a systems administrator, programmer, and consultant for a DECSystem-2060 mainframe at a new interdisciplinary (linguistics, philosophy, computer science, mathematics) research center. I also volunteered as a consultant for Stanford's academic computing facility. I am the most familiar with DEC mainframes and VAXen, but I've also used Xerox Dandelions and an IBM 4341. I also own an Apple Macintosh with the works. I am currently a participant of the LAW:FORUM North American Conference. Other than computers, I enjoy downhill skiing, bicycling, and electronic kit building. I am interested in hi-tech (computers, telecommunications) law. All aspects of computer law interest me, but particularly patents/copyrights and products liability of software. Oh, by the way (while I'm at it), I am looking for a summer job in a hi-tech law firm somewhere in California (preferably Los Angeles or the Silicon Valley/Bay Area). I'd be happy to send you or your firm my resume.... Happy Holidays, everyone! Frank ARPA: FRANK@SU-CSLI.ARPA FRANK@SU-SIERA.ARPA BITNET: IZZY087@UCLAVM P.S. Geoff, you've done a great job! Hope you find a successor soon. -------
