The usual arrangement with CMU-CS-C is fine except when it is down. Also, does anyone know how to make this connection pass all 8 bits called for in the Telnet protocol? Somewhere in my path someone is stripping off the 8th bit, but apparently everyone on my end of the protocol violation is either also in violation or esle doesn't care (which also violates the protocol except most users don't notice) so I'm stymied. CMU respds correctly to IAC WILL TRBIN from MIT, but I can't seem to get CMU to pass such a command back any further, where it might or might not work. Anyone familiar with the verson of TELNET used by CMU-CS-C, or transpac, or whatever, please respond directly to me. Thanks..
