Message-ID: Date: Mon, 25-Nov-85 12:02:11 EST Article-I.D.: SIMTEL20.KPETERSEN.12162876875.BABYL Posted: Mon Nov 25 12:02:11 1985 Date-Received: Wed, 18-Dec-85 03:04:11 EST Sender: serge@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Organization: The ARPA Internet Lines: 19 Approved: telecom@mit-xx.arpa We have several RIXON R212A modems in house and used by employees at home (as well as our call-out modem, etc.). RIXON modems operates in its own "menu mode" as well as emulating HAYES mode. I am wondering if anyone out there has had problems with them forgetting their stored phone numbers/settings and not easily waking up in response to carriage returns. Every modem that we have obtained either directly or indirectly from RIXON has had some kind of problem of this nature. Other people I have talked to who have these modems have *not* had these problems. Any help will be much appreciated. I am not associated with RIXON, HAYES or anyone else for that matter.
