Sharp, Emerson, SoundDesign, other Kmart and >Zodys brands are aimed at the people who don't know (or care) about >anything better. 2 years ago (to the day) i walked into a Cambridge pawn shop and for 11 bucks bought a mini Sharp FM walkman. This one was strange; it had TWO coin-slot type tuning knobs on the back side, and an A/B switch on the side. You would preselect two stations and then switch back and forth with the A/B. It was small; about 3 x 1.5 x .5 (inches). And it had the best sound and separation of any other walkman i had tried. For about 1 year it served me well, until it managed to fall out of my pocket while running across the street and get run over by a truck. Does anybody else out there remember these? I cannot seem to find another one. -- ------------------------------------------------------------- "they forcibly extracted the word 'but' from his vocabulary, and locked him in a room with 10 economists..." ------------------------------------------------------------- -the venn buddhist
