Recently I have had problems with pinging on hills. I took it to the Toyota dealer and they said that it was tuned to spec, and that the pinging was due to poor quality fuel; they said that the gas companies are using "winter fuel" at this time. I have noticed that different brands make a difference, with Union 76 getting rid of the pings, and Shell the worst. Is there anything to this? If there is, what is the best brand of gas to use?
