Hello out there.

A friend and I were having an argument the other day about
the popularity of several recent (last decade) novels, one
which ended in disagreement.  I claimed a certain book was
much more widely read than another; he had his favorite,
etc.  So, to help us resolve, and for the general edification
of net.books:

Send me (not the net) a list of your favorite, say, five (5)
novels published since 1970.  Order doesn't matter, nor does
genre or popularity.  THIS IS IMPORTANT!!! $$$ and pride
hang in the balance.

Results and comment to follow when sufficient data arrive.
