I believe the proper term is "their." :-) Modern Comics should have shown more imagination, and had 3 separate 5 issue miniseries, each issue of which stands on its own, and all 15 of which combine to form one mighty epic. Too bad. To be followed by a Robotech series, where the original issues of three different mini-series would be fed through a blender and pasted back together into a single maxi-series.
