As the engine runs out of gas it get a leaner mixture and runs hotter. This is not too much of a problem for a fourstroke in winter but it will seize a twostroke but fast. I also fill the gas tank and then throw the gas away in spring. An oil change is a must. Lifting the bike off the tires is nice but not easy. Batteries that are left without a charge develope sulfide deposits on the plates rendering them useless so remove the cables and trickle charge it once a month, or so.
