Chronicle during the '60s; it liked meta-humor: ``Fred, people will never believe this is a for-real comic strip if you keep climbing on the word balloons.'' I recommend the collection _The Collective Unconscious [sp?] of Odd Bodkins_ to anyone who likes meta-humor, atrocious puns, and just plain wierdness. O'Neill gets a lot into anti-establishment politics and somewhat into drug humor, but it's a good laugh. Anyone else out there remember this strip? Gary Ansok
