This works on all devices for which the device driver doesn't have that particular bug. In particular, it is known to work for the versatek driver which comes with 4.2, but not with the imagen/canon 300 lines per inch laser printer, with the manufacturer-supplied driver, as we received it. It is guaranteed to work on the original CAT device, since the old pic code used periods (.) of the current point size to create the line.
