I found Terry Ridder's call-to-arms against headhunters about as
amusing as his misinformation to all of us on working overseas.

Terry, who appointed you to be the latest in a long line of net.dictators?
It seems that this headhunter discussion popped up in this newsgroup last
year about the same time (concurrent with a Marilyn Dee posting). Some
howled, others applauded.

And now folks, let's look a little more closly at what Terry has to
say (in brief, I don't like it when others repost an article in its
entirety just to make a one paragraph point):

I'm going to make the following assumptions here:

1. MDEE is a company or an employee of one.

2. MDEE has a site ---> She pays the phone bill too.

3. MDEE is also a private individual.

Thus, MDEE meets all of your overblown criteria, Terry. So why are you
so upset?????

Want to tell us what the *big difference* is, Terry? To me, selling
an item and headhunter postings equals *CASH*. If I can sell you
some nice land in Florida over the net, whether it is an individual
transaction between us or not, why can't MDEE advertise her services?
You have a glaring double standard coming with that comment.

Stick it in your ear, buddy! MDEE pays for the net like the rest
of us. Who the hell do you think you are , net.policeman? If
this was the case, how would canceling her messages be carried out?
What if she was responding/posting to something that had nothing to
do with her business? I suggest you take a look at the First
Amendment and the "readnews" UNIX man page so that you learn how
to use the "n" key when you come upon articles you don't want to
see.

The moral of the story is: Screw you Jack! If I want to see a posting
from a headhunter, I will. And *WITHOUT YOUR SELF_RIGHTOUS 
INTERFERENCE !! *
