This was back when there were quite a few live-in girlfriends suing their boyfriends when they would break up (kinda like divorce without marriage, I guess). Carson told the story about how Benji's (the dog) female 'dog friend' had moved out on him and was suing him. Carson said that Benji was quoted as saying "I never did like the bitch anyway".
