FYI, I have contacted General Electric's Rumor Central (1-800-GE-RUMOR)
and verified that the new RCA subsidiary will NOT be called GE-RCA.

According to the operator, GE Chairman Jack Welch originally thought that 
a division whose name was pronounced "gur-ka" would motivate all the employees 
by it's association with the fierce Nepalese fighters called "Gurkha"'s. 

Unfortunately, one of his senior staff members remarked that GE-RCA
could also be pronounced "jer-ka", so this acronym was scrapped.  Oh well,
looks like we'll have to wait a few months to find out what it's going to
be called.
