Well, since you asked, here is my very favorite of these terrible (yet
wonderful) stories (told in its briefest form):

It seems that this scientist found a way to make porpoises live forever!
This was accomplished by feeding them a certain type of mynah bird, which
was, conveniently enough, available just down the street at his local mynah
bird store.  Well, anyway, he was walking home from the mynah bird shop
with his carton of mynah birds, and taking his normal short cut home
through the park.  Well, on this one day, it seems that a lion had escaped
from the zoo (which was located in the park), and was sleeping right on the
path that the scientist wished to traverse.  He was absorbed
in thought that he careless walked over the lion (without hurting it!).
When he reached the other side of the lion, he was arrested!  What was the
charge?




Transporting mynahs over sedate [or staid] lions for immortal porpoises!
