I think there were only 4 or 5 shows, but they were excellent and abounding with meta-humour. For example, the Great Detective and his Trusty Sidekick board a train to dash quickly off to some small town in Northern Ontario: T.S: How soon will we get there? G.D: In 4 hours and 15 minutes. [About 30 seconds of train noises.] T.S: How long will it take now? G.D: 4 hours, 14 minutes and 30 seconds. This is taking too long. [Hands T.S. some money] Do you see that man sitting over there in the corner? Give this to him. T.S: But how will that help? G.D: He's the sound effects man and he can speed up the train. [Suddenly the sound of the train noises speeds up.] Does anybody remember this show at all? Can anyone supply me with any more information about it? Thanks. -- Geoff Loker Department of Computer Science University of Toronto Toronto, ON M5S 1A4 USENET: {ihnp4 decwrl utzoo uw-beaver}!utcsri!utai!gkloker CSNET: gkloker@toronto ARPANET: gkloker.toronto@csnet-relay
