   In keeping with the terminology of rfc822, the "generated-by"
field could be simply the "agent" field; which would express the
nature of the sender (person, system, or process):

  Sender: Autoreply%umass.bitnet@wiscvm.arpa
  Agent: process

   The only difficulties with this is that the "sender" and/or "from"
fields must be valid addresses by rfc822, and not all sites allow
servers to recieve mail; and also that any additional comments on the
sender (such as version, etc) would have to be included as comments
