By lowering this value, the sound was less like from the bottom of a fish tank. However, after putting it in the 40 column mode, it sounded great! Why??? does the 80 column mode take up more of the bus or what? I've also noticed that in the 80 column mode the backspace, arrow, etc. keys are slow, and if you hold them down long enough, they'll just go over everything until their buffer is empty.
