HELP!!   I am trying to write a simple program to allow me to communicate
with a Hayes 1200 Smartmodem through the serial port. I tried the very basic
idea of sending stuff to SER: and the modem was receiving something, but
not exactly what I was typing. I don't have my own copy of the Kernal
ROM Manual but I looked in one today to find out how I could go about doing 
it but it said that the information would be put in the manual on a later
date. I would like to write the program in ABasiC or Amigabasic if possible
but I have a friend with a C compiler so I could use it if I had to.
I am hoping some of you Amiga guys can give me a hand...
