I've heard rumors that the Framegrabber addition can only handle 3 bits of grayscale, and may not work at full 640x400. If this is true, it really seems ridiculous. One of the main reasons I bought an Amiga is the ability to do imaging at 16 shades of gray at 640x400 (the absolute bare minimum as far as I am concerned). Does anyone out there really think that anything less than that is acceptable? What do we have the 640x400x4 mode for if we can't use it for anything? What resolution do you think the 'mandrill' was digitized at? If this ugly rumor can be dispelled by someone at Amiga, please do, I'm not looking forward to having to build my own digitizer, and it would really screw up my plans for the software package for the Amiga I am now working on.
