Could someone please post a source listing that just does the following:

Reads current Preference settings, then displays the results on the screen.

I have fumbled with this one over and over and everytime I run my test
program, I crash.  Its got to be me, but for the life of it, I cannot
find out where I am going wrong.  (Source in 'C' please).

ALSO, has the high resolution mode flicker problem for older 1080 monitors
been resoved?  'DPAINT' is neat, but hi-res is the pits.
