The reason I was so late in finding out about this is, I think, that the owner's manual does not mention how to (so I was left with the impression that I had to wait for the developer kit to get the utilities to copy files as above). I am sure that many of you with Mac experience knew how to copy before you even opened your ST package. But I did not have any Mac time before I opened mine and I think many others are in the same boat. This message is for that group. To copy a file from disk A to disk B using one disk drive, open disk A and select and drag the icon representing the file to be copied to the disk B icon. Dialog boxes will direct the copying process from there. You will be asked to insert disk A then B then A and so on depending on how many files you want copied in much the same way that you are asked to switch disks during an entire disk copy. I am sorry for boring many of you with this message but I am SURE that some people will benefit from it. My life has been made a fair bit simpler now that I know about this. Thanks to Alan Pratt for letting me in on this. One more point: If anyone has suddenly found out how to do something he or she has been trying to do for some time but did not know how to do because the manual did not mention it or explained it poorly I think a fair number of people might be interested in hearing about it.
