The 520 ST supposedly has 512 kilobytes of RAM- or so Atari says in its ads, pointing at the 256K Amiga. But, ~ 200 kilobytes on the Atari is used for TOS... and an Amiga (advertised as 256K) actually has extra memory (about 200K, I believe) that *it* uses for *its* operating system.
