When you type past the end of the screen the line is continued on the second line below the first. Although it appears two lines down it isn't, when the cursor is moved across the skipped line the line continuation appears on that line. 2. When deleting a line the line isn't erased until you redraw the screen. If you don't redraw the screen the scroll doesn't work. The first problem was cured by removing xn from the vt100 termcap.
