Message-ID: <2699@ut-ngp.UUCP> Date: Tue, 10-Dec-85 08:05:36 EST Article-I.D.: ut-ngp.2699 Posted: Tue Dec 10 08:05:36 1985 Date-Received: Wed, 11-Dec-85 21:42:19 EST Distribution: net Organization: UTexas Computation Center, Austin, Texas Lines: 17 [rumour has it ...] that the Wallstreet Journal (85/12/9) quotes Mr. Sculley as saying (when cornered leaving the court into which he dragged Steve Jobs) that the next Apple product will be a UNIX-machine. I understand this to mean *NEW PRODUCT* which has been rumoured about here to appear no sooner than next summer, and which has nothing to do with the Mac-upgrade in Jan 86. Well, it was what I speculated in private, anyway, so I'm not exited (not knowing the price, anyway). And given that it's a new product, I smell *LOTS* of incompatibility with the MAC already ... Now let's all run to the library to find out what the article said, verbatim. After all, it came from the "horse's mouth" (no disrespect intended) Cheers, ---Werner
