Message-ID: <1@unc.unc.UUCP> Date: Fri, 13-Dec-85 09:55:17 EST Article-I.D.: unc.1 Posted: Fri Dec 13 09:55:17 1985 Date-Received: Sun, 15-Dec-85 00:24:32 EST Distribution: net Organization: CS Dept, U. of N. Carolina, Chapel Hill Lines: 15 I'm planning on getting the new ImageWriter and was thinking about what I could do to get the thing to print in color from existing software. The user's manual gives the escape codes for each color. Is there any reason why I can't write a DA that allows the user to chose the color the printer will subsequently print in; i.e. by writing the appropriate escape code to the printer port? My main concern is that the printer routines in existing software completely initialize the printer based on user/default settings and my escape code would be overwritten. Any ideas? -- -Tom Thomas C. Palmer palmer@unc decvax!mcnc!unc!palmer
