I had the same problem till I found this one. It is not in the public domain or shareware. Its name is Mac Disk Catalog. I believe it cost around $35. It is from New Canaan Microcode 136 Beech Road New Canaan, CT 06840 (203) 966-6969 The program works very well, and you can move the data in collects to another, larger database such as Overvue.
