I have the Fokker Triplane program, and believe me, it is NOT a war game program! In fact, I have never used the gun (you can easily "turn it off", an eliminate the gunsight from your screen). I have a friend who is a pilot (flies a Cessna something-or-other) who loves the program -- He says it's the closest thing to flying a real airplane that he's ever seen, comparing favorably to some trainer. He has used Microsoft's "Flight" Simulator extensively, and says there's no comparison. (I haven't used Microsoft's at all, so I can't say from personal experience, but he says that if you want pretty pictures, get one like Microsoft's; if you want the feel of flying a real airplane, such as throttle, rudder, and stick response, buy the Fokker.) I have never flown an airplane, but I am really impressed with the Fokker. No pretty pictures, but lots of attention to the things that count. -- William Cox Computer Sciences Department University of Wisconsin, Madison WI bill@wisc.crys.edu ...{ihnp4,seismo,allegra}!uwvax!bill
