I want to answer your question and post my own, related problem.
I might have answered by mail, but the sender did not provide a
mail path.  The reply might be of general interest.

I decided to treat my family to the joys of a mouse and painting
program for Christmas.  I made sure that I bought the sturdiest
mouse (optical, for my two year old) and a paint program that
handles my display (B&W on a color/graphics adapter) and my 
printer (C.Itoh 8510A).

I bought the Mouse Systems mouse with PC Paintbrush (V2.8).  To
answer the original question, the install procedure for V2.8 has
entries for both the Corona monochrome (720x325) and 10 different
modes of the Tecmar Graphics Master.  (Question: in the PCINSTALL
program did you check the second, third and fourth pages of display
selections?)

My gripe is that I thought I was either getting the latest version
of PC Paintbrush or that I could inexpensively upgrade to it.  Neither
is true.  I got caught up in squabbles between ZSOFT, who wrote the
thing, and IMSI, who up until recently was their distributor.

ZSOFT broke off the deal with IMSI shortly before I bought.  IMSI has
offered to let me upgrade to DR. HALO II for a reasonable charge of
$22.  They claim it is better (does anyone know?) than PCPB V2.8.  All
I know is that it doesn't support my display or my printer.

I called ZSOFT to see if they would let me upgrade to V3.0.  The answer
is yes, of course, for $55 one time fee, or $85 for a year of upgrades.
This is not an upgrade charge; it's nearly the price PC Paintbrush sells
for in mail order.  The guy mumbled something about an expensive manual
and expensive packing material, neither of which I need.

I want V3.0, what comes with the Microsoft Mouse, because it has some
neat features, such as painting in full screen mode, and painting
pictures bigger than the screen.  If I had known the position I am now
in, I probably would have bought a Microsoft Mouse.

If the original author finds that V3.0 doesn't support his Corona or
Tecmar displays, I will be glad to make a (legal) exchange of mine for
his.  Then we will both have what we want.
