The new machine is not a 80386, but rather an internally developed RISC machine being released as a workstation (See PC Week, Dec. 3). It is supposed to run Unix Sys5 and something else, but I don't believe it will run DOS directly. The article said a co-processor 286 will be available, however, so DOS could use that. Also, the RISC machine will be available on a co-processor board for the AT. They are supposed to make the announcement in Jan, and I believe it was to ship in April.
