I would not be embarrased to call myself a liberal or leftist either if I
believed that those terms described me accurately. However, I think these
terms are over-simplified labels given to people for the sake of convenience. 
  
I believe Senator Kennedy expressed the same idea in his interview with Ted
Koppel on ABC's Nightline on Dec. 20.
