I also believe (but am not sure if this true) that if they don't pass the law that the states will loss federal highway money. This will be a loss of quite a few millions of dollars. This is why Massachussetts finally passed right turn on red. The feds said either pass the law or you will loss a large portion of highway funding. I wear my seatbelt and personal think it is a good idea. I agree withyou though that it is stupid for the government to mandate it for adults.
