Here is the complete list, effective January 12: Philly-Harrisburgh: Service to be reduced to an average of 7 round trips plus the Broadway limited. This is a cut from 11 on weekdays. Albany-Niagra Falls: The Empire State Express will no longer operate between Albany and Niagra Falls. Service will still be provided by the Maple Leaf and (to Buffalo) the Lake Shore Limited. Chicago-Carbondale: the Illini will be extended from Champaign-Urbana to Carbondale. The Shawnee will be eliminated. Chicago-Detroit: One frequency in each direction runs Friday through Sunday instead of daily. Chicago-Valporaiso: The two commuter trains will be combined running as the Calumet. Chicago-St. Louis: The State House becomes a 6 day a week train (not running Saturday southbound, nor Sunday northbound.) Portland-Seattle: The Mt. Rainier goes to four days a week operating Thursday through Sunday southbound, and Friday through Monday northbound. The following adjustments will be made from January 12 to March 20, reflecting lower winter ridership: New York-New Orleans: The Crescent will be tri-weekly south of Atlanta, connecting in New Orleans with the Sunset. Amtrak will add trains on selected dates for Mardi Gras and the Super Bowl. New York-Savannah: The Palmetto will run Friday through Sunday southbound, and Saturday through Monday northbound south of Washington. The northbound train will run about an hour earlier than present. Chicago-Salt Lake City-Seattle: The Pioneer will run tri-weekly west of Salt Lake City.
