Subject: Birds I saw Christmas Eve & Christmas Day

As I was driving over the rivers and thru to woods
to Grandmother's house for Christmas Eve package
opening, I saw a beautiful Red-Tail Hawk sitting
on a fence, just waiting for his/her Christmas
meal.  A little further down the highway, I saw
a hugh Great Blue Heron flying over the road.

Then on Christmas Day, I saw about four Kestrels
and another Red-Tail Hawk.  This Red-Tail was catching
his/her meal.

This Sunday I am planning to attend a Christmas Bird
Count for Johnson County (just south of Indianapolis).
This year, the attendees are doing a special study
of Kestrels (male vs female).  I will let you know
the results of this Count.
