The above criteria sound more like a specific self-pity profile than a well observed "first meeting" preference. The first rule is rather flimsy due to contact lens technology and quite fashionable eyeglass frames. The second rule is totally bogus! You dress yourself don't you? You buy your own clothes I trust? Professions are only as dull as you choose to present/make them. As for avoiding braces, BIG MISTAKE! I too, needed braces while I was living at home but economic considerations prevented getting the corrective help my teeth needed. So, after leaving home and starting to work with a corporation with a good dental/medical plan I decided to take the plunge. I tried not to be self conscious during the 2 years I had "metal mouth" and it did not detract from my social life at all. Kissing can be a new experience for both parties tho :-#. What you are really missing, is the end result of wearing braces. Your teeth/appearance will be drastically improved, not to mention your self image. Also, you will be spending considerable time during your orthodontic treatment in the waiting room with a group of people who are all willing to sacrifice 2-3 years of "silver smile" teasing for the "NEW IMAGE". You will be quite amazed at the number of adults sitting there reading the same magazines month after month. Sounds like a prime opportunity to me to make that "first meeting". GO FOR IT!
