          Why isn't anyone but the Tigers trying to sign Kirk Gibson?
      I've heard that the major league owners are trying to band together
      in hopes of lowering the "going rate" for superstars. I can see
      this happening to degree but with a guy like Gibson who is the
      type of player a team can mold itself around, I find it hard to
      believe that one or two owners aren't going to break this little
      show of fiscal unity and offer him some big bucks.

     My question is this: Is there a drug rumor following Gibby around
     and scaring off potential buyers?
