How can they justify showing 7 minutes of movie (in some instances) followed by 3-5 of commercials? Admittedly, this allowed them to show the entire fight scene without interruption, but still it was too much! 2) This extra footage thing. I guess they pulled a lot of it from the cutting room floor. This is a nice thing to do. I loved some of Lex's lines that were added ("Cuba!"). He reminded some of David Addison from Moonlighting with his quick witticisms. However, some of the clips that were edited in ended horribly--the scene were Superman blew up his Fortress (this was definitely NOT in the original!) all of a sudden broke to a kiss with a terrible break! The only explanation I could come up with was that the end of the scene had been destroyed, or that since the scene was to be scrapped anyway, they didn't film part of it. There was a few instances of this during the movie. 3) The other item regards these new powers that Kryptonians have been given. What's the deal with this finger levitation/force beam? Looks like something out of My Favorite Martian. Also, Zod was able to zap a machine gun with heat vision, and then pull it towards himself. Ridiculous. They have enough powers already without the writers having to whip up extra! (Of course this has less to do with ABC and more to do with the movie itself.) Anyway, let's hear from some other disgruntled viewers. (Or maybe even a couple of gruntled ones.) -- NAME: Evan L.
