I am posting this mesage for a friend who is not on Usenet:

Gilles killer is most likely Solange's ex-husband.  I freeze-framed the
scene when he confronts Gilles.  Although it is impossible to tell
who the person is when the show is running, by freeze-framing it at
the precise moment, you can see Solange's ex-husband's face very 
clearly.
