But they are not miracle workers and will not salvage a bad tape. I have both a Vidicraft Detailer III and a Recoton V604 (I think). There is no comparison. I heartily recommend the Vidicraft (I have been happy with all of the equipment I have from them). The Recoton is a piece of junk. It not only does not do any where near as good a job, but the pots get dirty and have to be cleaned frequently to keep them quiet.
