I have an inexpensive VHS VCR and a two wire cable system that has a mechanical switch to switch between the two cables. This limits the stations from which I can make unattended recordings. I would like to build a programmable "cable switcher" that would switch between the two cables at set times. Does anyone know about such things that are already on the market before I take on such a project? If not, can anyone provide me with ANY information (circuitry?)that could help me in building the cable switching part? The programmable clock is no problem for me, but I don't know much about 75 ohm cable, splitters, etc. I guess I could go out and buy a Mitsubishi 430 that has the A/B cable switching but I really don't want to. Thanks, kevin@berkeley.edu
