I am probably going to be travelling to Kuala Lampur, Malaysia (which
is near Signapore) within the next few months and I am would like to
retain some sort of access to the net during my 6-8 week stay.  I am
looking for any information on the quirks of telecommunications in
this region.  Are some modems not usable in the area?  Are there any
special requirements while using these phone lines?  Any special tricks
to connect to sites in the US?  Also, is there is any host in that
region who might be willing to let me have a guest account during my stay.

Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated.
