Message-ID: <240@cirl.UUCP> Date: Tue, 17-Dec-85 09:45:21 EST Article-I.D.: cirl.240 Posted: Tue Dec 17 09:45:21 1985 Date-Received: Thu, 19-Dec-85 05:43:39 EST Distribution: net Organization: Cochlear Implant Res. Lab, Boston, MA Lines: 25 Xref: watmath net.unix:6668 net.wanted.sources:1648 The 4.2BSD driver for DEC RA* disks, /sys/vaxuba/uda.c, contains the famous line: /* * TO DO: * write dump code */ We have only one drive, an RA81. We get the famous message: dump device bad when our system crashes. Consequently, we never know what hit us. Where is this code??? This system's been out for over 2 1/2 years, and RA disks are popular %-), so we know somebody out there must have it. We have source licence with Mass. Inst. of Tech. Please, please, consider putting out mods or clues as how to's, or other *helpful* advise. Thanks in advance.
